Prayer Card
- Description
- Prayer card created in memory of Lawrence T. Stack and left at the 9/11 Memorial. The front of the card features a photograph of Stack wearing his bunker gear. On the back of the card is the Fireman's Prayer. The card is bent and creased at the bottom.
- Historical Notes
- Native New Yorker Lawrence Stack lived in Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island, with his wife, Theresa. They had two grown sons and, in early September 2001, welcomed their first grandchild. A 33-year member of the FDNY, Lawrence served as safety battalion chief. On September 11, Chief Stack was seen aiding an injured person at the Marriott hotel at the World Trade Center. He was 58 years old.

This prayer card was left on the S-18 parapet of the South Pool on the 9/11 Memorial for Lawrence T. Stack on September 11, 2016.
