- Description
- Volunteer access pass issued to American Red Cross responder Rabbi Stephen Roberts for the 9/11 anniversary ceremony on September 11, 2002. The pass is blue and purple with printed text that reads: "VOLUNTEER | WTC | September 11, 2001." The pass has two small lapel pins attached to it. One pin features the American Red Cross logo with "9.11 Volunteer WTC" on it. The other pin is for Team Red Cross September 11, 2001.
- Historical Notes
- In September 2001, Rabbi Stephen Roberts was a senior spiritual care officer for the American Red Cross. Rabbi Roberts performed a management role following the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks, recruiting and overseeing a large team of chaplains to provide emotional and spiritual care at New York City’s Family Assistance Center, established in the wake of the attacks.
