Car Door, Recovered

Description
Recovered car door from a damaged OCME vehicle. The door is partially crushed, and its window glass is missing. The paint on the heavily dented door is scratched.
Historical Notes
After the collapse of the South Tower, members of New York City’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) were forced to recalibrate plans for the recovery of human remains.
 
This door was recovered from a vehicle used by OCME staff on the morning of 9/11.
